EU launches first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on Chinese fiberglass fabrics
On April 3, 2025, the European Commission announced that, in response to an application submitted by Tech-Fab Europe on January 3, 2025, it had initiated the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on Woven and/or Stitched Glass Fiber Fabrics originating from China and Egypt to examine whether the dumping of the products involved and the damage to the EU domestic industry would continue or occur again if the current anti-dumping measures were canceled. The dumping investigation period of this sunset review is from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, and the industry damage investigation period is from January 1, 2021 to the end of the dumping investigation period. It is understood that on February 21, 2019, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on glass fiber fabrics originating in China and Egypt. On May 16, 2019, the European Commission initiated a countervailing investigation on glass fiber fabrics originating in China and Egypt. On April 6, 2020, the European Commission made a final anti-dumping ruling on glass fiber fabrics originating in China and Egypt. On June 15, 2020, the European Commission made a final affirmative countervailing ruling on glass fiber fabrics originating in China and Egypt.
